Description	:	Nancy M. Smith, age 74 years, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2011, at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo. She was born July 16, 1935, at Tofield, AB, Canada, the daughter of Reuben and Norma (Switzer) Roth, and married John A. Smith on October 9, 1955. A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, she drove bus, worked in the family business, and was a homemaker. Read More	Nancy M. Smith, age 74 years, of Wauseon, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 24, 2011, at the University of Toledo Medical Center in Toledo. She was born July 16, 1935, at Tofield, AB, Canada, the daughter of Reuben and Norma (Switzer) Roth, and married John A. Smith on October 9, 1955. A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, she drove bus, worked in the family business, and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Central Mennonite Church near Archbold, and was a committed and energetic Sunday school teacher for pre-kindergarten children for over 30 years. She taught Vacation Bible School as well. She is survived by her husband, John; 7 children, Steve Smith of Whitmore Lake, MI, Kirby (Lynette) Smith of Wauseon, Penny (Tim) Shultz of Chicago, IL, Jim Smith of Wauseon, Kamal (Dawn) Smith of Toledo, Kathy Smith of Maumee, and Carl (Wendy) Smith of Wauseon; 16 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 16 foster children; and one brother, Edward (Millie) Roth of Archbold. She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Samuel Joel Shultz. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, May 29 at 3:30 pm at the Central Mennonite Church with Pastors Jeffrey Smith and Luke Nagy officiating. The public may greet the family at 2:30 pm, one hour prior to the service. It was Nancy’s wishes to donate her body for anatomical studies at the University of Toledo Medical School. Memorials are suggested to Sunshine Inc. of NW Ohio or Central Mennonite Church’s junior department Sunday school.
