"Nellie Mae Toliver was born March 3, 1882, to Philip and Elizabeth Kloss in Dawson township and passed away Monday evening at 10 p.m., March 13, 1951, at the age of 69 years. "She spent her girlhood days in Dawson township, moving with her parents to Bristol township she was about 18. "She was united in marriage to Ross Toliver, January 1, 1903. They lived on a farm near Jefferson for several years, and then moved to Churdan where they resided for the rest of their married life. "To them were born two children, a daughter Helen, now Mrs. Gene Gardner, and a son Lloyd. "Surviving Mrs. Toliver are two children; one daughter-in-law Yvonne Toliver; one son-in-law, Gene Gardner; four grandchildren, Joanne, Jeanne, Ronnie and Janice; two sisters, Olive Farley of Jefferson and Gladys Hagenbaugh of Wanamie, Pennsylvania; one brother, Albert Kloss of Jefferson; a number of nieces and nephews. "Three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Rebecca Conant, Sarah, Adelia, Harry A. Kloss and William L. Kloss, have preceded their sister in death as well as her father and mother who passed away some years ago. "She was united with the Christian church in Farlin shortly after her marriage and later joined the First Baptist church of Churdan where she remained a member until her death.
