| Description | : | California pioneer. Rebecca arrived in California in 1850 with her parents, James and Melvina Nickerson. She was just a small child during the overland journey to California. She married Thomas Burrell Harper in 1864. They were the parents of two girls who sadly died young. Thomas and Rebecca (often called Frances) lived for many years in the town of Lincoln, Placer County, California, where her husband ran a store (515 G Street - the main thoroughfare now called Lincoln Boulevard) and also served as the Justice of the Peace for many years until his passing....
