Description	:	Ruth was born Ruth Elva Bibbins on September 12, 1922. She was the oldest of three children to Frealon Cyrus Bibbins and Ruth Amelia (Hagquist). Her brother Frealon Norden Bibbins preceded her in death and she is survived by her sister Sarah Francis Schultz. She is also survived by her oldest son Dan Barker and his wife Cynthia. Her son Stephen Barker and daughter Vicki Cochran preceded her in death. Ruth and her husband Vernon Sr. (deceased) loved to travel and took many trips to Europe and Switzerland. Her son Stephen Barker and daughter Vicki Cochran preceded her in death. Ruth and her husband Vernon Sr. (deceased) loved to travel and took many trips to Europe and Switzerland. They also loved square dancing. She held a lengthy career with the State of California and when she wasn't working she loved to read books. Upon retirement she took up bowling and joined various other social groups where she would proclaim "It's all about the food." She was an avid letter writer and stamp collector. See's candy was her favorite and she was not long without a box by her side. She will be remembered by her generosity to her Family and Friends and by her strong will and determination. She will be missed greatly by her large family from two marriages and her dear Friends. Ruth (Grandma) celebrated her 94th Birthday 12 days prior to her passing on September 24, 2016.
