Solomon was listed as a Farmer age 59 born in Maryland, his second wife; Catherine age 39 born in Virginia, children from his first marriage were; Robert age 22, Solomon age 17, John age 15, James age 13, and Mary age 13, and his son with Catherien was; Adam age 4, all born in Ohio. In the 1860 census taken August 14, Solomon was still living in Loudon Twp., Carroll Co., Ohio. Solomon was listed as a Farmer age 69 born in Maryland, his wife C. (Catherine) age 48 born in Virginia, and their son Adam Albaugh age 14 born in Ohio. Also Solomon's daughter from his first marriage, Mary age 22 born in Ohio was living with them. Estate of Solomon Albaugh Volume E, Pg 550, January 12, 1864 FHC F# 333254 Be it remembered that on this 12th day of January A.D. 1864 Robbert Albough made application to the Probate Court of Carroll County to be made appointed administrator of the estate Solomon Albough deceased. Thereupon the court ordered that said Robbert Albough enter into bond in the sum of Sixteen hundred Dollars which he did with William Albough and Antony Sell as his sureties who are accepted by the court as such and said bond is in the sums and figures following to wit: Know all men by these present that one Robbert Albough, William Albough & Antony Sell are held and firmly found to pay to the State of Ohio the full sum of Sixteen hundred dolllars if default ne made on the condition following: the condition hereof so such that whereas letters of administration on the estate of Solomon Albough, decd, who granted to the said Robert Albough & William Albough are held by the Probate court of Carroll county and State of Ohio A.D. 1864 Jan 12th. Now if the said administrators of the estate of Solomon Albough deceased~ First Shall make and issue into court on oath within three months an inventory of all the money, goods, chattels rights and credits of the deceased which have or shall come to their persons or knowledge and also if requested bny the court or the law an inventory of the real estate of the deceased Secondly Shall administer according to the law all the money, goods, chattels rights and credits of the deceased and the proceeds of all his real estate that might be sold for the payments of debts which shall at any time come the possession of the said administration, or to the possession of any other person for them Thirdly Shall declare upon oath a true account of their administration within eighteen months and at any other times when required by the court or the law Fourthly Shall pay any balance remaining in their hands upon the settlement of their accounts to each person as the court or the law shall direct and Fifthly Shall deliver the letters of administration into court in case any will of the deceased shall hereafter be duly proved and allowed thereof this obligation to record otherwise to survive in full force and entered in law Sealed and signed by us 12th day of January A.D. 1864 Robbert Albough John Albough William Albough Volume E, Pg 617 Estate of Minor Heirs of Solomon Albaugh, Decd Be it remebered that on the 12th day of January A.D. 1864 John W. Slates made application to the Probate court to be appointed Guardian of the minor heirs of Solomon Albaugh deceased and the court ordered that he enter into bond which he did as follows Know all men by these presents that we John W. Slates, John Slates, Edmund Robertson are jointly and severally bound to pay into the State of Ohio the full sum of Nine hundred dollars. Signed and sealed by us at Carrollton this 13th day of January A.D. 1864. The condition of the above obligation is such that if the said John W. Slates shall faithfully discharge all the duties assigned on him by law as Guardian of Adam Albaugh minor child and heir at law of Solomon Albaugh deceased late of Carroll county and who is under the age of twentyone years and shall render up when required up when required a just and true account of his doings as Guardian to said ward; and of profits arising to said ward from any funds which are or may be in his house and shall pay the same over when legally required~ there but in no otherwise will the above obligation be void Witness { Internal Revenue } John W.
