Description	:	UNION - Charles W. Morrow, 68, of 210 Bennett St. died June 11, 1999, in his home after a lengthy illness. A native of Rutherfordton, N.C., he was son of the late Michael Hope Morrow Sr. and Betty Proctor Morrow. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was a member of Union City Council from 1988 to 1992. Read More	UNION - Charles W. Morrow, 68, of 210 Bennett St. died June 11, 1999, in his home after a lengthy illness. A native of Rutherfordton, N.C., he was son of the late Michael Hope Morrow Sr. and Betty Proctor Morrow. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and was a member of Union City Council from 1988 to 1992. He was a lifetime member of American Legion Post No. 22, where he was a past post commander and past athletic officer for 18 years. He also was a former member of S.C. American Legion State Baseball Committee, which he served on for 12 years. A past president of the Veteran's Day Parade Committee, he was the 1977 recipient of the Sertomas's Service to Mankind Award. He was a graduate of Union High School and attended Wofford College. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired as a letter carrier from the U.S. Postal Service, after 30 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Geraldine Valentine Morrow; two sons, Steve Morrow of Gaffney and Kevin Morrow of Union; two sisters, Jackie M. Hutchings of Forest City, N.C., and Vivian M. Hamrick of Bostic, N.C.; three brothers, R.H. Morrow of Little Rock, Ark., Don Morrow and Eugene Morrow, both of Forest City; and two grandsons. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home in Union. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, conducted by the Revs. Ken Snead and Bobby Crocker. Burial will be in Union Memorial Gardens. The family is at the home.
