She was married to Daniel Burrier November 1, 1853. To them was born nine children. Six of them with sixteen grand children, are living to mourn their loss. In the quiet stillness of the early morning Mrs. Daniel Burrier passed into the presence of her Savior to receive the reward of the faithful. Her long and upright life of eighty years has come to an end, and earth is poorer but heaven is richer. Mrs. Burrier lived a life of love and sympathy for all. She was a loving companion, an affectionate mother, a kind neighbor, a true example of Christianity. She was of a pleasant, kind disposition, loved by all who knew her, always thinking of the comfort and welfare of others. We honor her for her pure motives and clean life. A good woman has fallen; a faithful wife and mother has said "good-by." Using the words of the aged husband as he bent over the casket that contained the loved one gone from his fond embrace, he sobbed through falling tears, "She is not dead but sleepeth." "Not dead," dear mother, wife, friend and neighbor, but gone on before. Gone through the valley of the shadow, leaving a precious memory of self-sacrifice and faithful toil. She was faithful to her God, her church and her family. Her friends and neighbors found her always ready to help. In the home she will be greatly missed. The neighbors will miss her kindly ministry.
