Read More	In the 1900 census, George William Miller and his family were living in Loudon Township, Carroll County, Ohio. He was listed as George W. Miller age 37 born May 1863 in Ohio, his wife Hattie B. age 31 born July 1868 in Ohio, two son's; Otto F. age 6 born October 1893 and Howard age 4 born April 1896, both born in Ohio. It also stated William and Hattie were married for 10 years, and had 3 children, but only 2 were living at that time. His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, March 11, 1937. Services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the M. E. Church in Kilgore, for George William Miller, 73, who died Sunday at his home near Kilgore following an illness of eight months. Rev. R. J. Smith officiated, with burial in Kilgore cemetery. Mr. Miller was married on December 24, 1889 to Hattie B. Slates, who preceded him in death 6 years ago. He was the son of Solomon and Susanna (Reigle) Miller and had spent his entire life in Loudon Twp. Mr. Miller was acknowledged to be one of the most successful farmers in Carroll County and was respected in his community as a man with very sound judgement and ideas. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Veda Taggart of Kilgore; three sons, Otto of Carrollton; Howard of Kilgore and John of the home; 12 grandchildren; four sisters, Mrs. Emma Buchanan of Leavittsville; Mrs. Ellen Simmons of Amsterdam, Mrs. Ollie Simmons of Harlem Springs and Miss Ida Miller of Carrollton, and two brothers, James of Carrollton and Ira of Amsterdam; also two half-sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Patton of Alliance and Mrs. Duval of Bloomington, Iowa.
