It also stated they were married 11 years, and had only one child. His obituary in the Free Press Standard, Carrollton, Ohio, Thursday, September 4, 1947. Ira Miller, who spent the entire 86 years of his life on the farm near Kilgore, where he was born, died there Sunday morning at 9:30, three weeks after the death of his wife. He attended the Reformed Church in Kilgore and was a member of the Farm Bureau. He leaves two daughters, Mrs. Harley Morgan and Mrs. Sylvia Morgan of near Kilgore; a brother James M. Miller of near Carrollton; two sisters, Mrs. Olive Simmons of near Harlem Springs and Mrs. Emma Buchanan of near Carrollton and seven grandchildren. The body was moved Monday morning from the Sweeney Funeral Home in Amsterdam to the residence, where services were conducted Tuesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. R. W. Peneck. Burial was in Kilgore Cemetery.
