Description	:	Lawrence H. King, age 94 years, of Wauseon, passed away Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at the Toledo Hospital. He was born August 30, 1922, near Wauseon, the son of Simon and Katie (Wyse) King. He married Berneda Short on June 24, 1943, and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2011. A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, he farmed and owned and operated the King Sawmill and worked for Rupp Seed Inc. for approximately 20 years. King, age 94 years, of Wauseon, passed away Saturday morning, March 4, 2017, at the Toledo Hospital. He was born August 30, 1922, near Wauseon, the son of Simon and Katie (Wyse) King. He married Berneda Short on June 24, 1943, and she preceded him in death on November 5, 2011. A lifelong resident of the Wauseon area, he farmed and owned and operated the King Sawmill and worked for Rupp Seed Inc. for approximately 20 years. He served on the Pettisville School Board for 16 years. He enjoyed woodworking, time in the woods and watching Pettisville School Sporting events. He was a member of the West Clinton Mennonite Church near Pettisville. He is survived by six children, Susan (Ed) Sutton of Alvordton, Betty (Raymond) Hathaway of Philadelphia, MO, Kathy (Marv) Leatherman, John (Karen) King both of Wauseon, Pete (Luana) King of Archbold, and Richard (Ann) King of Wauseon; 23 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lester “Simit” (Marg) King of Wauseon; three sisters-in-law, Rhoda King, Esther Short, and Patty Short. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant son, Larry; two brothers, Willard King and Kenneth King; and two sisters, Ada Miller and Martha King. Memorial services will be held on Thursday at 11 AM at the West Clinton Mennonite Church. Interment will precede in the Pettisville Cemetery
