She was born August 9, 1936, near Archbold, the daughter of Ralph and Blanche (Ziegler) Fether. She married Kenneth L. Nofziger on December 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. Read More	Marlene K. Nofziger, age 81 years, of Archbold, passed away Monday afternoon, August 6, 2018, at Genesis Healthcare Swanton Valley. She was born August 9, 1936, near Archbold, the daughter of Ralph and Blanche (Ziegler) Fether. She married Kenneth L. Nofziger on December 24, 1955 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 2007. A resident of the Archbold area many years, she was a beautician/barber, and later she with her husband owned & operated the Home Restaurant in Archbold, then worked at A&P and IGA and since were custodians at the Archbold and Ridgeville Corners Schools for 20 years. She enjoyed reading, horse races, traveling, camping, music, and spending time with family. She was a member of St. John’s Christian Church in Archbold. She is survived by three children, Lamonte (Josette) Nofziger of Archbold, Cindy Lienau of San Antonio, TX, and Teresa (Rick) Short of Toledo; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Kim Nofziger; and 2 great-grandchildren. There will be no visitation and services will be private. Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to the Swanton Valley Alzheimer’s Unit.
