Brown, 69, prominent wool and fur buyer and stock dealer of Harlem Springs, died Wednesday afternoon, January 1 at Mercy Hospital, Canton, where he had been for the previous ten days, suffering from peritonitis. Born at Simmons Ridge in August, 1871, he had lived his entire life in Harlem Springs and vicinity. About 31 years ago he was married to Martha Crim, who survives. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, Lee Brown of Harlem Springs and two grandchildren, Willavene and Nova Jean Brown of Harlem Springs; a brother, A. C. Brown of Harlem Springs and a sister, Miss Zella Brown of Harlem Springs. Rev. Swinehart will conduct services Saturday afternoon at 1:30 at the home and at 2:00 p.m. in the Harlem Springs Methodist church. Burial will be in the Harlem springs Cemetery. The body will be removed to the home from the Blazer-Graham Funeral Home Friday morning. Friends may call at the home in Harlem Springs after that time.
