Description	:	Amy Jane Martinsen 1/24/1937 - 5/28/2016 Amy Jane Martinsen passed away peacefully on May 28, 2016 with her family by her side. She was born in Branson, Missouri on January 24, 1937 to Owen and Edith Moore. When she was two years old, her family moved to Northern California, eventually settling in Ophir. Amy was the middle of 11 children. She married Walter Martinsen on December 12, 1953 and moved to Foresthill, Calif. She was born in Branson, Missouri on January 24, 1937 to Owen and Edith Moore. When she was two years old, her family moved to Northern California, eventually settling in Ophir. Amy was the middle of 11 children. She married Walter Martinsen on December 12, 1953 and moved to Foresthill, Calif. In 1965, they moved their family to Lincoln, Calif., where they resided for over 50 years. Walter and Amy were married for over 53 years. Amy was a beloved and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She spent her working years cooking for preschool children, babysitting, and caring for the elderly. Her heart was large and warm and her home was open to all. Over the years, she prepared and served hundreds of meals to friends, relatives, and other visitors she invited to her home. Additionally, she hosted many birthday parties, graduation parties, baby showers, and other activities for friends and extended family members. Amy is survived by her sons, and granddaughter, and many sisters and brothers. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter. A private memorial will be held and Amy will be placed to rest beside her husband in the Foresthill Cemetery. Published in Gold Country Media Newspapers on June 9, 2016
