W. McCue in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 25 days. Read More	The Edgar Sun (Edgar, NE) Fri., Jul 6, 1945 - Page 1 Emily L Edgington Emily Louisa Deyoe, daughter of Warren and Salina Deyoe, was born July 6, 1855, at Pecatonica, Illinois, and passed away July 1, 1945, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. McCue in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 89 years, 11 months and 25 days. At the age of three years, she and her parents moved to a farm in Jones County, Illinois, where she resided until she was 13 years old, and later moved to a farm in Jefferson County, Nebraska. She was married to Marion S. Edgington, February 20, 1873, at Fairbury, Nebraska, and to this union were born six children. They moved to Edgar, Nebraska, in 1875, where she has resided since, with the exception of three years spent in Dayton, Washington, and the last three years in Creston, Iowa. She was one of the first members to unite with the First Presbyterian Church of Edgar upon its organization, and has remained a faithful and devoted member during all the years of her life. She leaves to mourn her passing, besides her many friends, four children, R. W. Edgington of Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Verta McKinley of Creston Iowa; Mrs. Merlyn Eggert of Chicago, and Mrs. Elna McCue of Creston, Iowa; six grandchildren, Gerald Edgington of Los Angeles, California; Watson McKinley in the Armed Services in South America; Charles McKinley of St. Louis, Missouri; Mrs. Raymond Joslyn of St. Paul, Minnesota; Mrs. Helen Kooser of Creston, Iowa. and Galen McCue of Los Angeles, California; two great grandchildren, David McCue of Los Angeles and Robert Joslyn of St Paul, Minnesota two sisters, Mrs. Alice Gorham and Mrs. Bessie Forester of Portland, Oregon and nieces and nephews residing in the west. Her husband and two children preceded her in death, Mr. Edgington in 1912; a daughter Ara, at about the age of four years, and another daughter Zora Joslyn in 1938. Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 4, 1945, at 2:30 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church in Edgar, Nebraska, with Rev. John W Kile of Superior in charge. Anna May Stewart and Margaret Delaney sang "Rock of Ages" and "The City Foursquare." Mrs. F. A. Voorhees was at the organ. Margaret Delaney played the organ before and following the services. Pallbearers were: John King, C. G. Cottle, F. A. Westering, Wm. Goesch, E. L. Smock and Otto W. Wolf. Interment was in the Edgar Cemetery.
