Description	:	The Fort Dodge Messenger Tuesday, January 12, 2010 CLARE - Lois A. Fitzgerald, 81, of Clare, died Sunday, January 10, 2010, at her daughter's home in Gowrie following a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, at 10:15 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, Fort Dodge and 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Clare for a Mass of Christian Burial. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 13th, at 10:15 a.m. in the Chapel of the Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, Fort Dodge and 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Clare for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at St. James' Cemetery, Clare. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 12th, at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home, Fort Dodge. There will be a rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a vigil at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Lois is survived by her children Susan and Jim English of Clare, Bruce and Glenda Fitzgerald of Troy, Missouri, Gary and Mary Fitzgerald of Clare, Terry and Jana Fitzgerald of LeMars, Tami and Jim Davis of Gowrie, Toni and Tony Lehman of Gilbert; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, brother Odie (Bev) Oleson of Laurens, sister Jeannette (Bud) Hawley of Laurens, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Frank Oleson, mother Lena (Coon) Oleson, brother Merle and twin brother Homer Oleson, husband Robert Fitzgerald, infant son Teddy Jo (one of the triplets) and granddaughter Krista Fitzgerald. Lois A. Oleson was born September 14, 1928 in Laurens. She graduated from Laurens High School. Lois was united in marriage with Robert Fitzgerald in St. Matthew's Catholic Church in Clare on January 5, 1948. Lois worked at Lutheran Hospital and Globe Union in Fort Dodge. Lois and Bob farmed in the Clare area and worked for Farm Egg. They retired from Farm Egg in 1986 and farming in 1989. Lois was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church and St. Matthew's Altar Society. Lois enjoyed her family and friends, needlework, crafts, reading and word puzzles. Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
