Paul Potter officiating. Music was furnished by Mrs. Paul Potter and Mrs. Frederick Wicker accompanied by Mrs. C.D. Mitchell. Mrs. Ralph Coil, Mrs. J.A. Mack and Steve Hoft had charge of the flowers. Casket attendants were Roy Roth, Lloyd Roth, Roland Roth, Glenn Boerner, Wayne Boerner and Vern Roth. Burial was in the Wall Lake cemetery with Farber and Otteman Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Arthur James Eaton, son of Harrison and Eliza Eaton, was born at Rudd, Iowa, Sept. 30, 1882. At an early age he went with his parents to Missouri where he resided only a short time returning to Lake View and receiving his education in the rural school of that vicinity. February 13, 1907 he was married to Nellie Roth. To this union was born one son, Lyle. Mr. Eaton farmed around Wall Lake until Sept. 1933 when they retired to his present home in Wall Lake. Sept. 24, 1944 Mrs. Eaton died and he continued to keep his home. October 22, 1946 he was married to Alice Schmidt. Mr. Eaton had been in good health until the past month and death came suddenly at 5:45 Tuesday evening, Jan. 5th. Death was attributed to a heart condition. Surviving are his wife, Alice, son, Lyle, six grandchildren and one brother, Richard of Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and three brothers. from The Lake View Resort
